What do I need for this TC Helicon vocal processor?

The tc helicon I liked to above is something I plan to add to it. Problem is folks, I dont know a whole lot about the setup of these, as most of my studio tools are software besides the keyboards and guitars and stuff. I have a good mic with a mic cable that plugs into the tc helicon, but how do I link the helicon to the computer to get it record into my software? help GREATLY appreciated folks

Vocal effects processor?
I am want to experament withe a device that can make my voice sond electronic and lots of other different sounds! What would be the best device fo this? i need one that i can use on my computer! would fruity loop be able to do that or do i need a voice processor? money is a problem, i don't have much to just go out and blow with out being a 100% sure so below like $40 dollars mmkay! thanks

no offense, but finding a voice processor for even below $100 is totally absurd! you silly rusti. :P doing a simple search for "vocal processors" i came up with the DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor Pedalboard. it looks bad*ss. http://www.zzounds.com/item--DGTVOC300 i have a guitar effects pedal from them that's AWESOME, so i know they're a good company. but it costs $200 and that's a bit above $40....>_< i'm looking at Fruity Loops (FL STUDIO) right now, and that just seems to be some kind of beat maker or something for rappers. or a midi maker. i don't think it even has anything to do with voices. but i don't think you're going to find any software for voice alteration.....and if you do, it's certainly gonna run you for over $40! but as a note, you can do some effects in Audacity, if you still have that. just go to the "EFFECTS" tab after you've recorded something, and tinker around with it. but it's not quite what you're looking for.

HELP!! I have good songs with crappy production value?
I'm recording a group of songs to post online and when I play them live into a 4 track tape machine with a cheap guitar into a mid-level stage amp, vocals through a vocal processor into my computer speakers/sub , and sequence synth and drum lines (no bass guitar), it sounds awesome. The resulting tape also sounds cool but it's tape and I can't sell tape recordings If I record the SAME song track by track (i'm not a band, only one guy) no matter how much I mix, raise/lower levels.. it sounds DEAD, and it doesn't have that 'in-between your ears' sound professional CDs have.. there's such a difference that some songs even change genre when I record into software... If I play my songs live they'll sound like Synth-pop w/guitars or Metal with keyboards... once it goes into logic it becomes punk or grunge Please help, this is really getting frustrating... btw I'm using Logic 8 Studio About the tape recording, I said it sounds awesome because you can hear the same song I actually played and get the Vibe in the room, but it is a tape recording, hallow and kinda faded sounding Also if I master a tape would the Mastering features in Audacity or Logic be able to seperate the tracks? I would actually take that route if I could :)

sounds to me like you need a new sound card in your computer, that is made for recording. I have a delta card that has RCA inputs, and it records with perfect clarity, no noise, and the entire range of frequency...so that it doesn't sound "pre-equalized". Most sound cards that are built-in to machines only pickup mid-range frequency.... makes it very suitable for desktop speakers, but not a car stereo. you need to check also to make sure your sample quality is 128 or higher, and that your recording at at least 24bit. btw- you might want to just have the tape converted onto a CD, or do it yourself. good luck.

Do i need and AUDIO INTERFACE for a rap, hiphop recording home studio?

well with everything that you have it really couldn't hurt to just get it. I think you are kinda over doing it but I don't have your vision. Good luck!
